Father's Day Golf

Dad Tees OffToday was simultaneously my Dad's birthday and Father's Day, so of course we had to celebrate.  And what better way than with some golf.

Dad, my brother Chris and I hit the links in Ft. Worth at 6:45 am, while it was still reasonably not hot. I put on a spectaular display of lack-of-golf-skills, probably from my near total lack of time spent on the driving range over the past few years.  Chris played well and Dad played better than a 77 year old guy should play (which was, not suprisingly, good enough to beat me).

Meanwhile Mom took the kids berry picking at the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens (I didn't ask if this was legal or not..) and they scored a few dozen pounds of grapes, blackberries, raspberries and a couple car stereos. A big lunch was next, followed by the ritual sleeping on the couch while watching golf.  A fine Father's Day.
