My first triathlon of the season is this weekend - bright (er, dark) and early Sunday morning up at Ray Roberts State Park. Camping up there the night before too, so I don't have to drive 60 miles at 4am.
Just doing the sprint distance, so no big deal really - just a strong 90 minute or less workout. And with the water temp in the 60's and the air temp in the upper 40's, I will be in no danger of overheating. Just got to find my wetsuit. And maybe replace my 13 year old tri suit.
Enjoyed a chilly, windy ride with 4,500 of my best cycling buddies this morning at Tour Dallas. It's a family & amateur focused ride- the longest route was only 30 miles, including a lap around White Rock Lake.
I parked at the north end of the Katy Trail and rode it to the downtown starting line, to both avoid traffic and parking issues and to get another 10 miles in. The first few miles went really slow, as expected, but it opened up. Mostly well run, with a few missing cops at intersections and some questionable route choices.
Today my company launched a new website for the world famous Kimbell Art Museum.
