Notes from North Texas Drupal June meetup on debugging
If you didn't make it out to the North Texas Drupal meetup last night, you missed a really great, interactive session! Thanks to Allen Shaw for his time and effort and his notes below.
Allen's slides and stories can be downloaded from the "Presentations" page athttp://twomice.me/presentations/ , under "MIDCAMP 2015, NORTH TEXAS DRUPAL MEETUP (JUNE, 2015)"
North Texas Drupal June Meetup- Debugging
My company, FireRoad Digital, founded and organizes the North Dallas Drupal Users Group, started last year after the demise of a previous local Drupal group. Going great so far, with over 135 members..
This next Monday, June (15th), Allen Shaw will be presenting on Pessimism, Entitlement, and Other Virtues of a Successful Debugging Approach, a session useful for beginner to expert Drupal developers.
"Drupal 8" is So Boring .. and Lacks Marketing Potential
Many of you Android users may already know that Google has chosen to name its next release of Android "KitKat", following its convention of dessert-related names. What's more interesting is the tie-in with a candy bar brand, and the cross promotion that will come with it.
Podcast with Modules Unraveled
Recently Brian Lewis of the Modules Unraveled Drupal podcast asked me to come on and talk about the process of building and growing the enormously successful Dallas Drupal users group. We've grown to over 600 members and often get 50-70 members at a meeting.
Klassic Rock Triathlon
I did the Klassic Rock triathlon this morning - first race of the year. So it turns out it's a bad idea to train all spring on your road bike, then break your triathlon bike out two days before the race. I did not feel strong on it, and only managed about 19 mph on the bike leg. I ride faster than that on my road bike just going around the lake a few times.
DrupalCamp Atlanta
I'm heading to Georgia this weekend to attend and speak at DrupalCamp Atlanta. My proposed session on Learning Drupal was accepted and is scheduled for right after the keynote. Guess I better start writing it, eh?
New Tarakan site- OpenLink
Tarakan recently completed another commnity site for Texas Instruments, this time for the OpenLink group, which "provides open, comprehensive access to Texas Instruments' connectivity technology drivers, ... resources, support, product information and more." Users can find information, and view and share projects they've created with TI wirless products.
Purdy eh?
